Probably you guys know about this, but if you don't, it's an old movie, and this is just a new version. I haven't ever seen any of the old ones, but I know the base of the story.
Is this one going to be the exact same story, just renewed and better effects?
Or will it be part of the old series?
Also discuss any feelings you have about the movie and if it will be as good as the older ones

THe new Nightmare on Elm Street had better live up to the reputation that RObert Englund had laid down for the Springwood Slasher. A lot of the remakes of movies are done pretty well, Halloween, Friday the 13th,etc. All that has to be done is a good version. It has the ability to be one of the best remakes possible if done right, but there is always room for it to be bastardized. Lets hope for the former, and not the latter.
