Modify the new posts widget

First off I'm not sure if any one with the power to make this change is active and I'm not sure how everyone else navigates the site but I pretty much just use the little new posts thing on the left of the homepage.

I think it would be a good idea to extend the amount of time something is considered a new post. A lot of the active members only check the site once a week or maybe longer and the new posts widget only shows new posts for 48 hours or so so they miss out on content unless they properly search for it. Because of this new threads seem to die and the only ones that remain active are the ones people remember (e.g. Anime thread and LG still exists)

Extended the new post period should encourage more threads and topics or at the very least encourage people to participate in different threads.

Just an observation I had. Let me know what people thing. That being said, it's likely that by the time someone does visit the site this will no longer be a new post so no one will see this aha.
