I love food.
If I could have 5 meals a day, I would.
However, I only have 2 meals a day because of budget and trying to lose weight.
But everyone I eat, I feel like I could eat a truck
I don't exercise on a regular basis.
I don't even know how much exercise is sufficient.

drink more water. drink ALL the water. when you're hungry, drink a full bottle of water before eating. it's better to have 5 small meals throughout the day as opposed to 2 large ones. you should be exercising at least 20-60 min per day ;P
also, drink hot lemon water before you eat. helps with digestion. (also boosts immunity)

I struggle with my diet too, I just can't resist eating snacks and junk food. I'm currently in a cycle of eating and drinking healthy in the week and the binge eating whatever I like on the weekend, it's not an ideal system but it works for me. I do have to agree though, drinking lots of water does help. If I'm ever feeling like I need a snack or something in the week I just grab a pint of water instead.

Appetite can really go into overdrive sometimes. I try to count calories. Not in a restrictive way, but you can see how much your body needs based on your height/weight/activity and use it as a guideline.

Definitely try to eat smaller portions more often, and learn to eat until you're full but not after! Water before and during eating def helps, idk if you like spicy food but I get full faster while eating it bc I drink so much water lol
You should try to do some sort of activity for at least 30 min a day, and maybe do a longer session for like an hour once or twice a week

i did a learn since the last time i posted on this. it's a year later but if this ends up helping anyone, that's awesome.
i've started heavily researching health, diet, and nutrition, and my opinion is a bit different now (not a lot, but a bit).
so, a great way to fix over eating is by fasting. either prolonged or intermittent. it turns out that eating nothing for several hours and then a lot all at once can be really good for you. it can reset your metabolism and digestion, and clear your digestive tract of a thick, gummy mucus that keeps your body from properly absorbing nutrients, which leads to excessive hunger. i've started doing occasional intermittent fasting, and i've noticed a big improvement in my eating habits, including frequency, food choices, and caloric intake vs. caloric output/exercise. a big deal with fasting, though, is choosing the right foods to break the fast. when your body is depleted (albeit mildly) of nutrients, it really absorbs the first bit of nourishment it gets. make it count.
