As a Lakers fan, I am sorely disconcerted. Time table for his return is 9-12 months.
It sucks. I know most of you guys are nerds or whatever and don't care about this kind of stuff, but this has a huge and negative impact on basketball and sports as we know it.
Hoping for a speedy recovery.

You act as if it has an effect on the entire NBA.
Really, it's only going to hurt the lakers; probably end up losing their 8 seed.

It affects the entire NBA. He made things competitive, dramatic and fun. Are you really content with a Kobe-less NBA?
I dunno about how it's going to affect the Lakers though. He put them in the right place to finish the season strong. I don't think his teammates would let his sacrifice go in vain.
It's all up to Steve, Dwight and Pau now. But considering their terrible defense, even if they get to the playoffs they're going no further than the 1st round without Kobe.
It sucks either way, Lakers fan or not.

Personally I do not watch sports or ever pay attention to them, but that is awful that he tore them.

That man is as great as Jordan. I am sorry to hear this.
I loved seeing the Black Mamba tear up the court.
