What kind of LIES? They were speculation and according to this:
Lead singer David Lee Roth says the band hasn’t been offered the gig, but they’ll jump at the chance if asked
It's quite the opposite.
Looks like the public would rather see Beysus than those coma-inducing inbreds

Van Halen was cleary the people’s choice, however. In ESPN’s own poll, a full two-thirds of the 150,000 unique voters voted for Van Halen to perform.

NOOOOOOO not a damn FAN-VOTED POLL.
The question was "would you want van halen to perform? yes or no" not "Beyonce or Van Halen"
He was never considered for the superbowl, they contacted Beyonce. Van Halen's lead singer HIMSELF said they were not offered but would accept it if offered (unlike your fictional story which said they turned it down, lmao).
Beyonce is going to perform at the superbowl at the request of the NFL and your fictional stories and inbred-voted polls won't change these facts. Be sure to tune in to the best show of your life on february 3rd xox
