With my dad being Diabetic, my mom and I had trk on a bunch of healthy meals to keep my dad's health in check. Try some of these:
Toasted Multigrain flatbread (pepperidge farm has some really healthy and tasty flatbreads. ^^ Try their 7-grain flatbread) with scrambled egg whites and half a banana for breakfast
For Lunch, try a turkey sandwich (go with the Smart Option brand) with a tomato slice and fresh lettuce (No Mayo) on Multigrain bread, peeled carrot sticks with a little dipping cup (you can buy the little portion/restaraunt style cups with lids at the supermarket) of ranch dressing (I recommend trying the Bolthouse Farms brand Yogurt Ranch Dressing, it needs to be refrigerated so its not on the shelf with the other dressings, its with the salad fixings in the produce isle. Its healthier too because its made with yogurt and not oil, and theres no preservatives.. ^^ Hannaford | Dressings & Dips | Bolthouse Farms Creamy Yogurt Ranch Salad Dressing )
For Dinner, try Morning Star Farms brand Meatless (veggie) Burger grillers (heres the link so you know what to look for: Hannaford | Meat | Morning Star Farms Grillers) on multigrain bread, and steamed veggies (Asparagus/brussel sprouts/carrots are good, ^^)
For dessert, try a cup of sherbert instead of ice cream. ^_^
All of these taste really good too, and they're good for you. Also, if you're wanting recipes, go to foodnetwork.com, they have really good healthy meal recipes.
