First recipe, and one I know by heart, is a quick, easy, but fancy looking steak dinner.
These recipes are not ORIGINALLY mine, but I have used them alot and tweaked and modified to my liking.
Steak with Mushroom sauce.
Ingredients:
4 Rib-eye steaks
2 Tbs butter
1 lb thick sliced mushrooms
1 1/2 Tbs white wine
Salt and pepper
Salt and pepper the steaks, at your own preference. Melt 1 Tbs butter in a large skillet and begin to fry the steaks. Flip when brown, and cook to preferred wellness. In the last 3-4 minutes of cooking the steak, melt the other tablespoon of butter in a saucepan or skillet, and sauté the mushrooms until tender. Add white wine to mushrooms and immediately serve over steak.
My notes: Its easy to overcook the steak and make it tough. Also, the salt and pepper is to your own preference, but without pepper it is a bit bland.
If I get a good response, I'll continue to add more recipes. I think next will be the steak marinade I use alot... Or maybe the peach salsa. Hmm...
