It is decent. Fun for a little while but gets boring. I played it for a while until I realized what a waste of time it is.

PvPing a nub - the only real fun you can have these days, unless you like to grind a lot, or have specific farming places (personally, I enjoy killing Abyssal Demons for their nice drops.)
I like woodcutting, and fletching, gives me time to meet new people from around the world, which im very fond of.
the only problems with that are beggars, and people who threaten to report you even if you didn't do a thing, assuming you pissed them off somehow. But apart from that, if you know the right people, it's OK.Quote:

yeah, some people measure a game only by its graphics. For instance it's really sad how people started some n00b petition about Diablo 3's graphics being too WoWlike. And this, even after the developers explained that it'll start off looking relatively peaceful in the beginning, then get more gory towards the end. Also, it still continued after they showcased a town in act 2where all the inhabitants got slaughtered by demons, with some few to rescue.Quote:

Very well put noob, thought i don't play diablo, or wow, but i have seen people play, their graphics are similar, but aren't they both made by blizzard?
Thats like complaining that Oreo Mini Packs and Oreo double stuffed look too much alike.
What most people don't realize is that WoW was made AFTER Diablo 2 (and its expansion, IIRC) was released. And while Blizz made both, they could atleast realize that comparing one to the other is like trying to find out whether chalk and cheese are alike. D<

Most users on the unofficial fansite agree with the devs though. You know what's really sad? One guy was complaining about the tetris inventory being restored, instead of being one space fits all like in WoW. exact quote and dev's reply follows;

Nah, people play it because of how boring it is.
It depends on your taste. Considering it's a free game, it's great. You gotta pay for a lot of awesome features, but the free version is extremely extensive.
But unlike other free games that also have a pay to play, they are updating the free game as much as they update the members game, so it's pretty equal for people that can't afford membership as well and member. Equality for all.
Runescape does get bitchy about membership though, like they have all these NPC's who always talk about how you need to be a member.

You can still gain good items and such, for a nonmembers world, it's not like where a member can come to a non members world with a whip and kick ass, cause it' a fair game.

Well, sort of, Though the number of noobs increase every year, which makes the game unbearable. It's holding up pretty well.
I played Runescape for about 2 years. Its a Brillaint game to start off with. Good quests and enjoyable PvP, its a Game I would reccommend to anyone, It has become a little outdated now though.
Runescape is boring.
Back when they killed the wildy i quit.
