So, I have an idea to help keep down clutter and trash posts from being spammed on all of the boards.
It's simple, don't tell people how many days/posts it takes to get to the good shit, and tell the members not to do as well.
While some may do so anyway (you can't really control it unless you temp ban those who violate this), I still believe it would
help out a lot. When I was a member of E.B.U. they had 3 levels of membership. Basic, full member, premium. They never
told us how many posts it took to get upgraded, and I saw WAY less spam and clutter throughout the forums there for it.
I saw more people posting for the sake of enjoying the forums.
Hell, if you want to go all Zuckerberg Neo-Nazi you could just ban people you see who are obviously just posting bullshit
for the sake of getting their post count up.
I'd also recommend that if you take either of these routes that you make sure to move the trash threads to a hidden forum.
Not saying the site is bad now, just trying to throw out some ideas to help continue to make it better.

Clutter/trash posts.

There'd be an influx of topics: "How many posts do I need to [blah]?"

Fair enough, that was one of the things I thought about too. You could just make it a rule that you can't ask, and if you do, you catch a 3 day ban. There would still be those who ask, and those who answer, but shit happens.
Not a huge thing, just trying to come up with ideas to help the place out a bit. Since EBU died and I'm back active in the Gaia community I'd kinda like to make this place my new home away from home. So I've been brainstorming trying to come up with ideas t help spruce the place up or just make it better in general.

Brainstorming is appreciated.
