I don't have control over plugins yet. The thanks system is just the rep system made public. I'm a bit afeared nobody will use the rep system (which includes custom comments and negative rep) if the thanks system is used. I may look into just making rep public, or some way to emphasize the rep button and the ability to privately vote.

This. Rep is more important IMO. There are times when I wanna "Like" or vote up someone's post though because I agree, though

I agree with this, we should bring it back. It was a fast easy way to give Rep for posts you feel should have rep, and it also let you "Like" posts you liked or thought was funny without wasting a post with "lol" or "this" or something.
