Make it where they need atleast 5 posts before they can see the gaia shit. Admit it, thats why half the fucking members are here and half of them aren't active. Ya, some post but barely any and all they want is "L33T Hax"

If you want more activity then its simple.

There used to be a limit of 50 or so posts before you could see the gaia stuff, but that didn't increase activity, sense most of them just spammed it all.

This decreased activity for example the sell/trade section they did that to it and no one bought or sold anything.
Also to add your site is dead i dont know why you keep trying to make it look good.

5 posts is wasy to spam. We used to have a 100 post requirement to view the gaia hacks in 1.0 and then we had to increase it because there were 4-500 posts every few hours so it was hard to catch, but then things died off once we made it invite only for a while. But this literally would do almost nothing. It would be a temporary fix to a permanent problem.

I have to kind of agree with boob here. When's the last time you saw a publicly released bot? Or ANYTHING to draw new members in, besides new subforums? There are already a ton of Gaming forums out there where you just talk about gaming. There are almost no Gaia Hacking forums, though. We need new, original content. Not more subforums.

The post thing is like the old UGB system, makes people spam, that's how i did it >.>, and why don't we work on a bot each, idk, like many different versions of one or more bots, and we choose the best, IDK? Throwing ideas out there. Bored. Nothing inspiring. Wanna program.

Fact is however things are no longer how they used to be around here. Also, a lot of the older members (myself included) have pretty much lost most of our interest in Gaya except as a hangout. It isn't even fun anymore to scam/hack the site. Look at how far the disparities extend there. Previously an 03 used to be 2.3-2.5m, now they're nearly all 9m and counting. I've multiplied my net worth several times over by LITERALLY DOING NOTHING. And they're so paranoid right now, what with most of the old guard I colluded with off the scene, that I decided to go full legit just to keep off the radar. You still get banned like nobody's business there. I barely log on two times a week, maybe three at most these days. Much of my time is spent on other MMOs and offline games.
The programming scene's gone dark, mostly. So many changes have taken place it isn't even easy to bot or scam folks any more. We need new direction for our programmers. Unfortunately however, there isn't much of one to go forward with.
tl;dr the scene will remain as such unless we pull a golden egg from our collective rear ends.
addendum: In a way the scene is similar to Runescape, but there it is in reverse. When something comes out it's expensive but after a short haul it becomes cheaper due to increased supply. Godswords used to be 110-120m+ but are now hardly 20-25m. The Nex drops and the Ganodermic mage set have surpassed these for now. Even Aviansies aren't worth it no more, nor is taking out abyssal demons. The only other thing good for combat is versing frost dragons.Last edited by noob; 01 Apr. 2012 at 04:30pm.

For all the stuff that happens around here, LG itself is always remarkably unchanged. Thanks to the folks who still remembered I was once here and welcomed me back despite me being retarded.

"No longer fun to scam/hack the site"
Then lets see how deep you've gotten. I doubt much if not any will surpass what's already in UGB/UGS. What we have in those I consider to be pretty fun to tinker with. I imagine UGG is even better.

w/e Flare, I guess I'll wait and see as soon as I can get back into UG then. That said, it's feeling same-ish a lot these days to begin with. I do look forward to seeing how far LG progressed in the interim before I left.
