I was looking at another forum "mpgh.com" and i saw that a staff member had to approve the program before anyone else could see the download.
i think this would be good on lg even though there aren't any viruses on our programs (i hope)

This was included in the rules for programs, but I believe it was edited out with this whole anarchy thing in place, one of Google and myself's better ideas. But let me remind you, that no one ever submitted their programs to mods, and it is hard to put a leash on that many people for something like that.

I can bring the suggestions up to higher but it will probably end there. As I knew when we made it a rule, it is a great idea, and can prevent password stealers and worms and many other things that can be hidden.

I would welcome having a downloads system where only approved programs can be downloaded.
I'm currently working on something that will cater for something similar to this, and will post more information soon.

We can sandbox the program or run it in a steady state virtual machine. I can turn on thread moderation in the program release forums. That would make it where the thread can't be viewed until a moderator approves it. I'll add that later tonight. I need trk on dealing with the 500ish moderated posts from when we just unapproved the posts instead of soft-deleting them.
@Mods, I'll post a full run through of all the precautions to take and what to look for.// Signature
