Upgrade Attachment settings?

Why cant a file sharing site be used for bigger files?
like uppit, megaupload, ect

I do use these as well, but sometimes I feel it's easier to attach, that's why I asked. Because your point totally makes sense too. Sometimes I don't want to upload things, just attach.
