If you have a problem with a name, report it as offensive and it will be handled.
One thing at a time, and this isn't the biggest concern that's alive right now.

maybe your friend is over sensative. and im pretty sure that Chinese meant derogatory terms as UNs or sexually suggestive names as UNs. those i can agree need to be restricted, but names that are quasi-offensive, or MAY be offensive is too far, because you never know if it is meant to be wrong...some of them are obviously meant to be wrong, which they should be regulated, but you cant stop every username because it might be offensive.
but more restrictions on sexually suggestive or derogatory terms is understandable.Voted Hottest Male Member

fuck off dude don't listen to this fag about names arti

Yeah, that is understandable. But like you stated, some things may be offensive to others, even though they weren't meant to be, and others were intentionally put in place to either think they were funny, or be offensive. Some names are sexually suggestive, like you stated, a perfect example is under you, spamming and flaming like always, but what can you do.
Just take everything one step at a time, that's what the admins are doing, like i always say, miracles don't happen over night. Unless they're children.
Stop your fucking spamming i swear to god you just pick fights with everyone, learn your god damn place on this forum.

Well, when people read my name, it's not screaming at you "IhateAsians" or "IhateGays" or something alongs the lines of that. As long as it is not directly a rude or racial comment towards people, it would be fine. Like Rape, or ******, or Fag, would be fine. Since it's directly at people "I'm just a word". But if it was "RapeAsiansCauseTheyYellow" then it would be a racist name. There's a difference between a username and a racist username.

Censory is yet another means to escape the inevitable truth. With censory you only bring chaos from those who embrace truth with no fear, and with chaos comes violence, and with violence comes more violence, and with more violence you invite more censory. Do not ignore nor react to what people decided to shield themselves behind, be it a name or disguise, people will be heard. There is no censory only the thought of censory, but sadly, this thought will never be completely censored.

If posts aren't censored, there's no reason that usernames should be. Simple as that.

well instead of the restrictions how about an option to censor the offensie names on your account. so for example instead of "chinese" (i dont see it as offensive but its just an example) theres just a black square there.
i dont know if its possible but its better than just restrictions. and of course all of this will be taken into account later on.

I agree with the censor idea,
but i must say havn't seen anyone with a name i'd take offence to.
But i'm rarely seen outside of the dabting forum (:
And you need a moderate amount of intelligence to be there, so i do see why.Consequentialism - A Firm Beliver In The End Justifying The Means (:

I dont think there should be a censor on usernames. They're just names. nothing more.

Or maybe instead of making it so you cant have the swear word you want, have an option in User CP to censor "offensive" usernames.

A usernames a username...as long as you can sleep at night and if it wont kill you it shoudnt matter...just my opinion

I still stick with the "there's no reason to censor usernames on a forum with uncensored posts." That's just ridiculous, imo. A profile option to censor all words, sure. Not that I even find that necessary on a hacking/scamming forum. One should assume we're all 'big kids' now.
