ipod subsection?

just an idea here. but the ipod jailbreaking is really popular. anyway maybe not a main section for it but possibly a sub-section somewhere.
i dont expect you to go through with the idea but i want to see what people think.

it is considered illegal to put that on this site. since it is an illegal activity it wont be on the site.

there might be some info on it, but it will be higher up then UG Bronze. And i hope you understand what i said for what it means, not what the words say it means.

modding the firmware of "your" ipod device is not illegal. using the programs created by apple that you did not pay for is. it would be cool to have an ipod section.

Apple put out a statement that said jailbreaking your iPod is illegal, and that they would take legal action. that screams illegal, lets face it. and since you can use programs on a jailbroken iPod and alter the wares on it once it is jailbroken, that makes it illegal, just the fact that you can makes it illegal, not actually doing it.

im not saying its not a good idea, but it would have to be difficult to access and see what is going on with it.

So what you're saying is, they can arrest us for doing something NOT illegal, just because it puts us in the position to do something illegal?

Jailbreaking your iPod is not illegal. It violates the terms and conditions (voids your warranty, etc.), but it is legal. Apple doesn't get to decide what is legal and what isn't, just what goes against their rules.

HOWEVER, using cracked copies of apps is totally illegal, obviously. There really isn't much anyone can do either way, though. :p
