i know there are some good ones out there, but their demos give limited output on what swf i may use it on. anyone have one that they made that can do what the paid ones can. i made some swf files in the past with a friend's help but i accidentaly deleted all the parts but the swf.

Pirate Sothink SWF Decompiler or Trillix SWF decompiler. Both have worked for me in the past.
Use Flash CS5 or FlashDevelop if you want to rewrite parts of the SWF.I'm lightning on my feet

Why would anyone bother to make their own when there's plenty out there already?
