So, after watching the whole bitcoin mining scene since around 2011, I'm finally jumping in. I was GPU mining for a while, but it's too slow now that ASIC miners are out (A chip with an architecture that's custom made for bitcoin mining, a small USB one runs around $70 and will do approx 333 Mhash/sec, that's around half the speed of a Radeon HD 7870's mining, and for $200 cheaper).
So I'm thinking of getting a few ASIC USBs for mining, just to see if I can make a few bucks. Right now my old Radeon HD 4870 only runs at around 80 Mhash/sec, which is much too slow.
In other news, I really should get a new GPU lol.
Anyway, anyone here mine or have any bitcoins?

I looked into it, but the best ones are by butterfly labs, and aren't cheap. They're the only way to actually make money with gigahashes per second.

At the moment I think I might pick up one of these, but it's doubtful I'll even make my money back on it haha Asicminer Block Erupter USB Bitcoin Asic Miner Ships Thursday August 8th | eBay
