It's efficient, standardized, cross-browser and doesn't require installation of unreviewed, unacclaimed software.
Maybe one day it can just be an extension, but there's no need to do that when Greasemonkey accomplishes everything that needs to be done already, and is also one of the most popular Firefox and Chrome extensions with plenty of reviews backing its validity.

I can see why JavaScript is an attractive language for development. Everyone has a browser. Doesn't matter if you run Windows, Linux, or Mac OS... everyone has a damn browser.

It's just JavaScript. You write a JS script that you want to execute on a website immediately after the webpage has loaded.

It is. Which is why this topic exists. If there are enough developers, I could start making guides to creating Logical Gaia/Gaia Online extensions.

I'm interested, learning java as we speak.
There's nothing ideal about being real, there's so many flaws to cover and conceal.

For an update, the plugin system has started development, in case anyone is wanting to create plugins.
The LGaia API will include easy functions for complicated and common GSI features.

I would if I worked in Javascript. If I ever get around to it, I'll learn it but it's very unlikely.
Might be some people willing to port some of my stuff over though if I release more.
