Problem solving is, in my opinion, the greatest asset a programmer can have. Knowing how to effectively think through a problem and determine a solution will allow you to tackle almost any project.

While the syntax and functionality offered by different programming languages can vary, the methodology in writing a piece of software almost always remains the same. It's no coincidence that most of the top Silicon Valley companies try to recruit programmers with great problem solving skills.

This forum contains a list of online programming puzzles/challenges and worked solutions. If you've found a great puzzle online and would like to share it (or if you've found one and need help in determining a solution), please post it.
