Now, I'm not sure if this counts as programming, but a while ago (before I left) I found an MMORPG maker, called Eclipse. You can SadScript to expand on the engine, or open up Visual Basic 6 and edit the source code. It's open-source, I suggest using Robin's Eclipse Origins edit.
