C++ is such a fundamental language. That kind of mindset really is holding you back. Personally, I'de rather be more adapt at c++ than perl.

I might learn C/C++ for the sake of learning it. Mostly it's just because it is considered a fundamental language.
Like, I said, Perl is what we chose, but we are subject to change depending.
