I'm not too sure why but I wasn't all that excited for this one. Everyone I know who owns a switch was massively hyped for it but I guess I just kind of got burnt out on the series. Now that I think about it, I don't think I've completed a single game I've played on the switch. I always end up losing interest, which is kind of odd because I'm normally a bit of a completionist.

i totally skipped all the ds-3ds so this is the first pokemon game i've played since gba days.

I played a little of Pokemon X on the 3DS and about a third of the way through let's go Pikachu last year but the last one I properly got stuck into was Ruby/Sapphire back when I was at school. I don't recall which one of the two I had though. I may pick sword/shield up at some point as I have heard good things about them.

Black and White were really good. I enjoyed X/Y. I hated Sun and Moon. People lost their minds about Sword/Shield with the end of world dex and such. I don't have a switch so I'm out of the running for now. x

I'm all about first and third gen. 😎 I also bought a copy of silver and a gameboy at a retro event last year with the intent of playing through it again but I never ended up doing it.

Gen 4 is my fav. SoulSilver and HeartGold. I love the pokemon that follow behind you. That is probably the best feature in the game.
