I don't know if I should get it. I want to play the generation; I hear it's good. But it's also going to cost the entirety of a new game, and I haven't even started X yet.

- 07 May. 2014 10:47pm #5

I luff my 3DS, but I'd suck a dick for a Wii U. I wish it was cheaper. The games on it are gorgeous and look sooo fucking fun. But, you know, money. The 3DS is hella cheap doe.

@use, the ability youre thinking of was drizzle btw, not rainy day“Having a soft heart in a cruel world is courage, not weakness.”

Drought ==> Sunny Day
Unless they renamed Sunny Day in newer games.

Are exclusive abilities to Groudon and Kyogre. Sunny Day and Rainy Day are moves.I'm lightning on my feet

actually youre thinking of rain dance. sunny day is a move and drought is groudons ability. so yeaaaa.

I didn't think there was a game larger than Gold/Silver, since it included two regions.

Same. Beating the E4 and unlocking a nostalgia trip of another half of the game was absolutely amazing.

The two regions in Gold and Silver probably make it the largest but Ruby and Sapphire have a pretty large post game. Several islands and events. I would wager the game world is similar in size to that of 2nd Gen.
Silver is one of my favorite games. I did more in that game than any other. Crystal was my favorite special edition. There was so much story telling in that game.

I don't like the stories though. They are cheesy and dumb. I just like gyms. New area, new gym. Sometimes some sort of slight puzzle-esque challenge or sidequest. And then a gym.
Man, I just realized Pokemon is the only game I like grinding in.

Stories are fine. Anything that prolongs the game is fine IMO. As long as the stories are not frivolous or anything.

Really wondering how they're going to re-"make" this and explain the megas that never existed in gen 3. >_>;
Also, not too familiar with Megas yet, I skipped out on X and Y, I was too disappointed at how easy they made everything.III - The Empress

I'm actually looking forward to Alpha Sapphire. I loved the original sapphire game and X and Y were a lot of fun to play. So yay!
So many pokemon games....
- 16 Jul. 2014 09:10am #35
I'm so freaking excited to get Sapphire. I'm actually buying a 2ds this weekend specifically so I can play it when the new games come out. Gen 3 was one of my favourite.

Games came out this past Friday. Until December you can get a shiny Beldum as a mystery gift.
They added a lot of the modern features and systems to the game which makes it refreshing to play as the game let's you spawn "rare" versions of pokemon that have special moves, natures &/or stats. The more you use this feature the better the pokemon you find are. Even if you don't like the pokemon they give you good tender for Wonder Trade.
The maps and some of the small enhancement details are really great, like flocks of wingull on the beaches that take off as you run by them.

I picked up Omega and fell in love with it.
