How to Find Your Birthday on Neopets
Many users, when prompted with putting in a birthday, just scroll through and pick a random birthday then forget about it. Most of the time, it's not important or needed again. However, Neopets has changed its login process and putting in your birthday while logging in is required. The account isn't lost forever, though.
1.Log onto an account that you have access to, or create a new one.
2.Befriend your lost account. You can do this by going to my account -> neofriends -> Neofriend Requests & Add a Neofriend.
3.Look in your neofriends list for the account. You might think that this is useless, since you obviously can't accept, but this will actually get your account back. What we need here is the age, and you can see that without being accepted.
4.Record date, the age listed, and subtract that age from the current year. Good, now you have one piece of the information- the year. The year is either the one you have or the year before it depending on the month and day.
5.Check back every few days to see if the age has changed. If the age has changed, that means the birthday was within the timespan that you checked. You now have the month. The day should be any day from when you checked it last to the day it changed. Also, subtract a year from the one you found.
6.Try to login using the information you've gathered.
7.The above method does NOT work any more. Neopets has now changed what is displayed on the neofriend list. If the account hasn't accepted your request, the age will be shown as ???. Same goes for if they have accepted your request and choose to keep their age private.
editAlternative Method
You can use this method while checking the age for the birthday, however it's not necessary.
1.Complete steps 1-4 from the above. You still need the year to do this.
2.Go to the login screen and put in the year you recorded.
3.Begin a process of elimination by going through the months and days one by one. You need to start at January 1st. If January 1st doesn't work, put in January 2nd and so forth. When you get to the end of January, start over at February.
4.Remember what day you left off at when you are unable to continue, so you can start again the next day.
Code:Tips Remember that this takes time, and it's better to wait than not have the account at all, especially if you have important things on it. If you are bad at remembering, try keeping a paper near the computer to record everything. Things you would want to record are: the year of the birthday, the days you checked your neofriends list, and the month/day you left off at if you're going to try to log into it every day. When the age changes, subtract one year to the one you originally recorded. If you're trying the alternative method and you eventually get up to the day you are trying to log in then change the year to the one before it. So if you tried to log in on June 21st with the year 1981 and you just put in June 21, then try the year 1980 for every day after June 21.
