Today i decided since last night 1.8 pre-release came out. i would share. the facts. and myths!

Facts.

Iron bars are now in game,also glass panes are in game also.

New lighting effects with torches.

Endermen are in game.

Pigs have snouts now.

Villages spawn randomly

ruins spawn randomly

ocean's are much deeper

the moon emits a little light.

Zombies drop rotten flesh.

You can run.

Endermen drop ender perl.

Mines are randomly generated.

"mine spiders" Spawn in mines.

Melons and pumkins have seeds

Melons are in game.

melons can be eatin in slices.

New eating animation.

all animals drop a type of food besides sheep.

Silver fish.



Myths: Endermen will not see you while you have a pumpkin on your head. Or you are looking through glass at them.

You can block by right clicking on your sword.

All kinds of food are stackable.
