They have. They just wont let us have it for use in war. They say it gives an unfair advantage.
I heard there was some kind of controversy regarding unreleased test results of the more advanced versions of dragon skin vs. current models of kevlar armor (SPC system and interceptors come to mind) and certain problems with the design. But seriously, this stuff is pretty good. I just hope your congressmen and army chiefs at least start realizing that.
Sounds like a good idea man. But Marines aren't getting dragon skin armor. We have kevlar plates that still weigh as much as they did in Nam. But maybe just a little paranoid on that stuff.
just to give you an idea of what I'm going to do here; I'm going to add in full kevlar sleeves and leggings with trauma plates to keep my arms and legs out of the reach of some bozo smart enough to try targeting those. Sometimes I wonder if I'm getting too paranoid for my own good. I've already started carrying a sidearm in public, concealed of course, because I have no choice in the matter. Also, bean counters might not think that a soldier's life is worth much, but at least your people have invented enough tech to try keeping their soldiers safe. Casualties happen in all wars, but it hurts people like me, dedicated to patching folks up, whenever I hear of stupid shit like this happening. Keep safe.
Its as quiet as it can be. A few attacks, a lot of medivacs, a few casualties, a lot of dead taliban and al quada. So not all good things, but stuff you wont hear on the news. The mail should be fine against machetes, but I would be worrying about the zombies more than riots.
kk, rules are rules. All quiet over there at present? Things have deteriorated out in the city. We keep seeing a lot of major robberies and other crap. I'm going to remodel what I got (pulled a few strings to get the military grade version) so that it ends up more like a full suit of plate mail. May also need better protection against heavy machetes and that kind of crap though it can probably stop those already.
I'm actually not allowed to tell you where I am exactly. Its against the rules. And as far as the dragon skin armor, thats not paranoia, thats preperation.
Whereabouts are you currently posted in Afghanistan? on the front lines or at a base camp? Also, I may have gotten paranoid enough to shell out a small fortune on dragon skin armor. All I need to do now is a DIY job to make it more like proper plate.
Ill do my best bro.
moteFace: oh well, just don't get blown up or shot. I have enough folks to patch up as is without hearing that my best bro got hurt as well.
