Maplestory Wont Start

sadness it says that its incompatible with my version i tried changing the compatibility but then maplestory wouldnt run
im running in Vista

worked fine when i had vista.
and works fine now that i have windows 7.
re-install it?

alright the message, i cant quote it cuz the game is down atm, but it says something about not being able to start because of soemthing blocking it i think it says i cant connect to the server due to firewall or other problems and to check the maplestory news for and possible downtime

You said you already tried changing the compatibility, did you try changing it to Windows XP?
And run it as an Administrator.

I've played on Vista before so I'm trying to remember what I did to get it trk.

yeah ive done that before, but ill try the windows XP compatibility if i have it when the game is back up

aiiight then yooo lol but the problem i remembered now with the running with compatibilities, the game doesnt even start up/ brings me to the maplestory home page to start it says maplestory is not responding

Ahh when i get to the homepage. Log into your NX account, then click the start button, allow the changes on your computer to happen.

It should be up and running. If its a system error, what kind?

ok so the hacksheild runs then a popup comes up and says we are not able to connect to the login server due to a server check, a firewall block, or other network issues.
please check maplestory homepage for ongoing server checks as well as your firewall settings

Try turning on/off firewall and mess around with connections. If the hack shield thing is popping up then for the most part its working! Maybe restart you're computer.
Actually re install the game and try.

yeah i beleive that theres not really a firewall running or doing anything for the most part on my comp and ive already restarted and re installed multiple times lol

Turn of your Firewall program / For me its Norton 360 , Turn it off log in at the maplestory website , then start

wait a couple of minutes or so when the game pops up

if it doesnt allow you to get in that means maintenance in session

try to allow your Computer to run maplestory

update all the patches you dont have and get the latest Version
