So I finished P5R this morning and FF7R arrived at about midday so naturally, over the next 10 hours I clocked in 8 of those playing it, I think I might have a problem. It's definitely been good so far but I fear that my experience playing P5R might have skewed my expectations. I feel like I'm getting through the content far to quickly for but that probably also has something to do with the 8 hour binge I just went through too.
One thing to keep in mind though, the remake is only the the Midgar section of the main game so if you wanted to play the original first you'd technically only need to play the first 3 or 4 hours of it. Might be worth considering if you're time conscious.Last edited by Cyanoxide; 31 May. 2020 at 11:29am.

Haha, my friend did something similar so he could play it. I've just defeated the Hell House. I'm really enjoying it but I'm definitely getting the feeling I'm going to be super annoyed when I finish it because I want to play the rest of it. 😅
As for Persona, I will admit that it's not a franchise for everyone but I personally really enjoy it. I've very much looking forward to playing some of the other titles (I've now played 3, 5 and 5R). I definitely think it's worth giving it a go to see if it's your sort of thing because I was definitely missing out by not knowing about it. It's part turn based rpg, part social simulator, and part time management sim. You wouldn't think that would work but it really does.

Nice, I completely the remake yesterday and I get that. If I had the patience I would have like to have waited for all the parts to be finished and play it all together but I couldn't wait As for playing 8, I highly recommend it, as a child I didn't like it at all because it was so different but when I replayed it a few years back I was pleasantly surprised with it. The same was true for 9 but I think I enjoyed 8 more.

yea, there was a few valid critiques of the game but i think part 2 will open up the world more. mostly the sometimes the game felt like a walking sim but i still would give it high marks.
i've been debating firing up crisis core and finishing that or FF6. I have the original disks for 9 around here and still haven't played through it. maybe that can be next.https://discord.gg/TvN6xUb ~ chat on discord pls.

I'm currently working my way through the hard mode. I don't often do this but I'm aiming for 100% completion with all the achievements. I figured if ever there was a game that deserved that level of commitment it would be this one. So far I've made it through to chapter 3 on the hard mode run and it's proving to be more difficult than I previously expected.
