This has been a thing for years, I thought everyone knew this already. Its partially P2P, which means other users can grab your IP

Ya, I think the capability for grabbing IP addresses directly through hooking the client has been disabled in newer versions of Skype.
But you can bypass that by using an unpatched version of the Skype client

IDK supposedly P2P remains the core of the Skype protocol, so I'm skeptical of Skype's repeated claims that they fixed it
