Army stuff, just got back from being in the field from some bullshit. Jumped into another base 4 hours away from a C130 (in which half the people landed in trees, and one person lost a weapon when they jettisoned their equipment), sat in the field for 4 days to get validated on our system before deployment, got poured on in a lightning storm after we took our tent down, got a HMMWV stuck in the mud, and got 2 hours of sleep every night for the whle ten days. But, not too shabby. And I'm studying for more techinical certifications now. Finally got my Sec+, been waiting for the Army to pay for that shit. lol

I've got a bunch more stuff I could post, I try to take a lot of photos when I can. But haha we were all immature back then, man. Everyone was, and, as we both see, a few still are. We all have grown up so it's nrries.

You taking any college? I'm starting a degree in computer forensics here soon. I got into that and realized it's what intrigues me the most. Other than that I spend most of my time jacking off to kernels and sources being compiled on my Gentoo box and spending hours writing configs to make my minimalistic computer screen look slightly different with pixel-by-pixel alignment issues; and just general server administration on my server racks lol

I am attending college next semester (OSU down here) and majoring in Computer Science and minoring in Maths.

The languages I have experience with are AutoIt, Delphi, C, Lua. Been focusing entirely on C lately. How about you?

Probably going to look into Python or Perl soon because they're pretty popular among the industry so I may have to pick up on one of them eventually. But yeah, I should definitely code a bit more. Been kind of slacking recently.

Also nice @ lifting. I don't lift a lot but I try to go to the gym and work out in general at least 3 times a week.

I've only experienced C, JS, Python, and Pearl, and that's only because of messing with sources and configs. I can't start from scratch, I only understand the theory and how things work. haha, I'm not where near what you'd look for to create a project. I need the prior source to edit. lol

I've been thinking about getting deeper into C, though. I want to get into lower level operating system workings. The whole monolithic kernel vs microkernel argument interests me, and it got me turned onto looking into Minix, and wanting to actually code a small kernel myself. Not really to use in application, but to just learn what we're using today; as it was created back then. haha
I'm a long long way from that, though. The ladder was created by a college professor who grew up in that environment.
Don't slack man, every day is an opportunity!


Yea I found a new passion in the gym. It feels great, and I see results. Plus, it only takes up like 1-2 hours a day so it's not bad. What else would I be doing in that time? Watching a screen of text fly by while I wait 5 hours for something to compile? lol

Also, by chance, would you want any study material for certifications? I have the info to an FTP server with study material for all of the CompTiA certifications, and Cisco CCNA certs.
