The PC parts all together cost about $1200.
My laptop has gone to bologna, considering getting a job just to pay for the parts—
OR scamming on E-Bay, E-whoring or doing odd jobs irl.
Probably a job, I'm a bum.

I think a hand-built PC for $1200 can run any game at the highest settings. $3k sounds too expensive.

Depends on the graphics cards. I think a single Titan costs $1k. Two plus every other part to the desktop sounds reasonable at $1.2k.

if you are going to build a new pc build on a budget.
its a protip when i built my OP personally super computer.
go for 8-16 gigs for graphics go AMD Nividia if you have the extra money.
as for processor think it over because of sockets and mobo types.
usually a cheap I7 can do the trick. if you are a amd fanboy get the newer processor.
um cooling stock or liquid (i did liquid cooling because of the amount of heat the amds put out)
if you can you can build a decent computer under 400 - 500 depending on what your throwing in it.
my pc isnt used for normal computer stuff its used for modeling and graphic manipulation software and animation.
so that 32- soon 64 gigs is doing its job along with my octo core processor.

This is the first time I'm building anything, so I'm really not sure how much I can get with my budget.
2k usd total is as much as I'm willing to spend, including monitor, OS, speakers etc.
List of items here.
