I agree. Something like that should not appear under someone's username lol. Period.

It's like I'm wearing a Scarlet Letter FFS

I mean, it is pretty much supposed to be a scarlet letter so people know not to trade with you.

A true statement?

still ugly and unnecessary. That's putting a permanent stigma on members -- which is an issue in particular to the longer term ones -- so their browsing experience on LG/presence would be tarnished. (false impressions, bad image, ugly looking/taking up name space.)
It's integrating something excess into the site. If they're banned from trading more often than not they should be banned from the site in general anyway.
Should be removed. Or maybe put somewhere else. Maybe you should make a "Trade Status" label somewhere? Perhaps somewhere on their profile. Not sure.Last edited by The Unintelligible; 26 Jul. 2013 at 06:01am.

It's not that I want it on non-problematic members, but if someone is banned from trading, it should be known so people can't trade with them. The group prevents them from Marketplace access, but if a user banned from trading were to send PMs, there's nothing stopping an innocent receiver from trading with them.
While I would think someone banned from trading should just be banned as well, are you saying Alexx should be banned?
Or should the banned from trading group be removed altogether, which would then allow Alexx to trade again?

That can be dealt with via the Reputation forum and/or making the label more obscure than an ugly, unwanted label under their name. Relocating it to profile, or somewhere else would suffice
Nope. Alexx shouldn't be banned (I think?).
Banned from trading group should be removed. For now at least. It's probably a flawed idea anyway though considering the aforementioned point that banned from trading users should typically be banned anyways.
All in all, unneeded. Doesn't help much given the resources we already have. It has more cons than pros imo.I'm lightning on my feet

I got banned from trading for some stupid ass reason because I told some chick my items were legit when they were not about like 2 years ago. I was banned from the forums for about a year. I didn't scam her. I just lied. Which is why Thomas gave me shit about but then I asked for forgiveness later on and he let me back on. I haven't posted anything on the trades in like forever. Labeling me with that title just pisses me off and makes me not wanna get on to be honest.
It's a pretty flawed idea anyway. I could just make a new account on TOR and just come on and start trading, but I won't do that because I have no interest in trading or of any of that stuff anymore. I'm just here to chill since I've been on LG since 09.

I just got rid of the usergroup altogether. I think as few usergroups should exist as possible. It only existed now because it's been a usergroup for years.
Converted it to a trade rep thread, since that is the modernized version of it.
