The downfall of MSN messenger?
It sort of pisses me off that they removed it for Skype.
I remember we all used to use MSN messenger to contact each other.
Fucking hell.

Not really. Skype was bought out by Microsoft. So essentially it is the new MSN messenger.

I'm all for nostalgia, but that's all it really is. Those examples are part of why MSN was sort of crappy.
As a former avid MSN user, its best strength was honestly in its simplicity (and therefore extensibility). In every other category it was pretty much beat.

I wouldn't say "going to shit" I'd say condensing and bringing companies together is a good thing, especially for the internet.
