I was cooking bacon this morning and I had already cooked 3 or 4 previous pieces. The skillet was scalding hot, so no animal would ever think about grabbing a slice from the bubbling greases. I had just finished fixing three strips and I put three more in the skillet. I waited 3 minutes and I smelled smoke. I walked to the stove and the bacon was gone! Smoke was everywhere and the pan was black. I haven't a clue what happened to my bacon.![]()
