A lot of years ago. Probably somewhere between '04 and '07? I bought it when it was new and the latest and greatest. Still an awesome game, I even ripped the CD and made a torrent of it because I loved it so much. That was on Demonoid though, RIP.

Civ 5 is fun. It just takes.. so long.. oh so long. 12 hours of straight play is not enough to finish a match, lets put it that way.

Well, months is if you pick it up and put it down casually. Im sure you could end it in a week... of fiending LOL. It takes forever though in general. Me and my friends played online, 8 civs in total 3 of us. Took us 14 hours straight just to kill everyone else. One of my friends was iroquis with all these crazy escape routes, my friend was germany, tiny but tons of fucking gold and units, and i was russia. I had no fucking gold, a million cities, half the world as my territory and no units to protect any of my borders LOL
