Life Pro-Tips thread!
Everyone post tips that you think everyone should know about.
Instantly unplug a plugged nose by holding your breath as long as you can. If you hold your breathe long enough eventually you will feel your sinuses dilate... Voila! Clear nose.On google chrome, you can press Ctrl+Tab to go to the next tab, and Ctrl+Shift+Tab to go back a tab. This saves me, as someone who hates using the mouse, and mostly uses his computer via the keyboard and keyboard shortcuts.Everyone post your own, if we can turn this into a really useful thread, we could even sticky it or something! At a restaurant, add or remove something from your burger if you want it fresh. If you don't, they'll most likely give you one that they cooked a while ago. This works at fast food places too, but it has to be something hard to take off, otherwise the cook will take it off of an older burger and give that one to you.

Avoiding Drama
1. Just tell them what they want to hear until they shut up.
2. If they yell at you over something with an "off" button, utilize it.
3. Even if you know you're not wrong, apologize. If you really are right, you're going to be whether they accept it or not. And the apology will be enough for them.
4. If an apology isn't enough, ask what you can do to make it better. When they tell you, just say you will and move on.
5. If nothing can be done about it, you don't need them in your life. If you actually fucked up that badly on YOUR behalf, learn from it and don't do it again.
6. Accept that shit happens
7. Do as you're told. Your morals will be with you, but they'll never be with them. No matter how blue in the face you get, you can't change someone's opinion if they're just as dead set on it as you are.
8. Never explain yourself to anybody. Your friends don't need it and your enemies won't believe you anyway.
We're all human beings.
Emotions are chemical reactions.
9 times out of 10, you're never going to see these people again, unless they're family.
And if you need to tell them what they want to hear, then fuck your morals. Those will stay with you. Give them the benefit of theirs to make them happy, and you still won't lose yours.
You only live once, don't drown it in problems you don't even have.Last edited by Raivu; 08 Feb. 2013 at 12:15am.

That is actually some of the truest stuff I have ever heard. I've utilized this in my life, just without realizing it. I've only gotten into two fights in school, and I destroyed both of the kids that fought me. They were fucking jacked, I just got pissed at them for insulting me, so I made sure they hit first and then fucked them up. Never got caught for either. Besides that though, I was never bullied, though never popular, and I'm pretty happy with my life. I have a large group of friends, almost no enemies, life is good.

If you are ever on the phone with a debt collector and want to pay your account off at the lowest possible amount, ask for the lowest blanket settlement in full.
Also, every time a debt collector violates a state law or fdcpa guideline, you can sue them for 5,000 for each time.
1. Read up on the FDCPA
2. Wait for unsuspecting debt collector - listen for shaky voices, ums and ahs to find a new collector on the floor.
3. Set up recorder and coax the collector into breaking a law.
4. ???
5. Profit.I am steady killin' fools.

No, but I'm a collector myself with 3 years experience and have seen first hand new collectors get suckered by debtors. There's a term out there called, "professional debtor". Literally, some people make it their way of life. Jack up bills, don't pay, sue collections, go to court and collect money, rinse and repeat. And now there's a whole federal board to back the consumer, that is funded purely on the winnings of sue cases against debt collectors.
I am steady killin' fools.
