Help?

I run and maintain a few websites, and I manage a few personal blogs. With a lot of the design platforms it's very rare that you're actually going to need to know how to code. With Tumblr you don't really need much experience with HTML code just look up the basics and you'll figure it out from there.

Page builders aren't being mediocre. They are being nothing. That's like saying I'm a mediocre student because I watch Sesame Street. Protip: Learning(?) doesn't make me a student.
And the fuck is Wix?
I'm going to give the benefit of the doubt that it's at least better than Dreamweaver.

I would say Dreamweaver is better since it's just a WYSIWYG IDE (still extremely bad) as opposed to Wix being an entire horrendously built Flash-based, drag-and-drop/point-and-click framework.
Basically, you write more code in Dreamweaver than in Wix whereas you basically toss ready-made templates around.
Just the thought of it makes me genuinely shiver. Or is that just the current temperature in my house.
Either way: Dreamweaver is bad. Wix is absolutely and completely vomit-inducing, downright terrible.
Perhaps that was going a little overboard for two tools that are simply plain sucky. Oh well.Last edited by The Unintelligible; 27 Jul. 2012 at 06:55am.

Wait, better analogy. It'd be like if I said I was a mediocre musician because I pressed the flashing lights on an automatic keyboard.
Yeah, I like that one better.

No, I believe I have the most relevant analogy. More specifically, one pertaining to programming:
That's like saying you're a mediocre-tier programmer because you can write a "Hellrld!" application.
Regardless, what I meant more precisely by my original point was that he specified he's "mediocre at best." That statement doesn't automatically mean you meet the level you mentioned, it just means if ANYTHING you're mediocre (which I believe he meant by that is that he's probably not even mediocre level; but if he is, he's not anything beyond that level).
