For all the stuff that happens around here, LG itself is always remarkably unchanged. Thanks to the folks who still remembered I was once here and welcomed me back despite me being retarded.

Self-fulfilling prophecies, perhaps?
If you think you can't pass it, you won't.
Knew a chick once like this. Made D's in her math classes. Was in remedial classes for it. She insisted she couldn't "get" math, and I insisted otherwise. Took about a year of convincing before she believed me, but she is making A's in college level math classes now.
If I know anything, it's that you will do exactly as well as you think you will in a class. Math or not.

Like noob said some people just aren't cut out for certain things .I've been getting bad grades since i started school .
- 08 Jun. 2012 07:01pm #14
Not being cut out for it is not at all the same as not being able to do it. It just means it doesn't come naturally. You can still do it.
Self-fulfilling prophecy it is then.
Fun fact: 100% of the time, people only do as well as they think they can do; and 100% of the time if people change their minds about how well they think they can do, they do as well as that to which they changed their minds.
I postulate that there is a reason self-fulfill bad grades. Perhaps a fear of disappointment. Or responsibility. But it certainly isn't inability.
