Human greed sometimes pisses me off

Like yesterday, it caused my life to bear a new complication I really didnt need.

Yesterday I recieved a text from my friend while at work at 4pm. He said he was cashing his check because he just got off work, seemed legit. He shares an apartment with me and pays part of the rent, this comes in later.

I finished work and went to the apartment to relax, thought it was weird he wasnt there playing Xbox, it doesnt take 2 hours to cash a check and we were supposed to meet up with his girlfriend to see a movie at 9 pm. The time was 6, so maybe he was getting something to eat or whatever, it didnt bother me.

7:00pm his girlfriend comes over, shes really worried that he isnt here. I told her that maybe he was stuck in traffic or something. So me and her just chill, I got to eat her awesome cooking.

8:45 we start getting angry and worried, we all wereexited for the movie and it took like 20min to get to the place. I call his cell like five times and he doesnt answer. His girlfriend is freaking out crying saying he got killed or in a crash, i tell her that sometimes he just likes to chill after a bad day, so maybe he just needed his alone time. We went to see the movie together, then went out for pizza, got back at midnight, he still isnt fucking home. His girlfriend asks to sleepover to just make sure hes ok.

1 in the morning i get a call from him, the first things i hear are like video game sounds or something, people chattering, and then he speaks, "i fucked up" is the first thing he tells me. Then i ask him where the hell he is, he missed the movie, ect. He tells me sorry like 1000 times then says he took his paycheck, drove to a casino, cashed it and used it on games then wrote several checks totalling to 1200$ that he cant pay off and are all going to bounce. He had won like 3000$ but used that on games too! I hand the phone to his girlfriend who starts crying, then bitches him out.

He comes home at 3am, drunk and pissed off that he lost, yells at his girlfriend and tries to pin it on me how i didnt try and talk him out of it, the hell? He sent me one text before he went there saying : " jus got off, cashin my check. See you later " So I take his girlfriend and we Gtfo.

Woke up at 10 am today with like 50 texts from him. Im too pissed off to deal with him, and hows he gunna pay his share of rent/utilities? Hes in debt now and im not helping him anymore, he did this last year too.

His girlfriend didnt know, she dated him for a week. So now hes at work, im at colledge with his girlfriend and this day is just going to suck. I feel like kicking his ass.

By the way, went to see hunger games. It was nice.

that's a pretty messed up situation bro.
The last place I was living at, my roommate did the same thing. And he spent his parents money that they gave him for food.
Blew it all at the casino, comes up, bitches at ME about not having money, and it actually got really physical.
If he's still working, know how much he makes a month or whatever and tell him he has to either find somewhere else to stay and try to find a new roommate, or get that kid up on his ass.

Remember that many of the personality traits we have today are because of the way we were raised, and how the person who raised us acted. If he's acting out in such a way and it's not routine he must be in a very tough spot mentally and may simply need an understanding friend to talk to, or perhaps a therapist.

I talked to him and he didnt come from a bad upbringing, he had loving parents and an upper middle class home ive been his friend since middle school, no he told me that some of his buddies from work brought him to a horoscope place and the person told him he was lucky today. Nothing to understand, he was just being stupid as always. Thanks for thw advice though.
@Raivu: he works at a mc donalds and does go to a night school to get a GED. He pays 300$ of the rent and none of the 100$ utiliy fee.

By the way im working at a gamestop going to college for being a nuerosergeon. Thats right, I get to poke your brains •×• so if anything im more stressed then him from work and school. But now I guess he called his parents to pay off his debt. He needs to get some responsibility..

Lol I would have fucked his girlfriend. And yeah friends like these are mad, today my friend and i didn't have any lunch money, we borrowed 2euros and made it into 5 Euros xDD , and that got shit out of it. Nnah but seriously i hate irresponsible person , somehow i always get out of bad situations without my parents. Just like the way i got into them : )
Your friend just needs to have less of those friends, and more friends like you.Just make him want to be responsible like you bro.

@jah: Forgive and forget, played COD with him just now and kicked his ass virtually. His girlfriend is still mad, but why, shes not effected at all, and hardly knows him. She is cute though, I should post a picture of her...if I had one.

@stormie: Went home today, he paid off his debt from his parents helping him and his colledge fund. I think his parents froze his bank account._. yea, if he does something like this again Im going on a three strikes your out kinda thing....but hes a good guy, just stupid as hell.
