I celebrate my birthday! I am turning 19 which I find extremely depressing.
I realized that it's my last year as a teenager.
Shit gets more and more serious at 20 and I am not looking forward to it.
Also, I need more insight on enlisting in the Army/Marines.
I highly doubt I meet the physical standards to make the Marines.
I weight 295 pounds, I am 6 foot 3 and I run a 6.0 on the 40 yard dash. (Slow)

Physical standards aren't that bad to get in. 1 1/2 mile in under 12 minutes, 3 pullups, and 50(could be wrong) situps in 2 minutes.

Shit, I think you forgot who you are talking to. I haven't been able to do a single pullup either. However just because I haven't been able to do one at this point, doesn't mean I'm going to sit down and quit. You just have to keep at it and pull through, If you are really looking to enlist in the Military then you have to be dedicated. Don't enlist if you are not 100% sure it's what you want to do.

I am at 90% right now. Really on the fence about the last 10%. It would take a whole lot of dietary changes to get used to the Marines. I am so used to eating a certain way and I would have to adopt the new way of eating and my mind would torture itself over it. I mean, physically I can handle a challenge of lifting shit, but I cannot lift myself too well. I am so close to at least one pull-up. I get about 75% of the way there. I need to figure out how trk the muscles for the power to will through it.
