I'm a guy that loves Car's and trucks, I'm a gear head, after 2 more years of school I'm going to UTI to get my professional in Automobile Mechanic's , Their isn't one second i don't think about Car's or trucks. And in my spare time after school after my homework, I go out and Drive ATV's and Dirt bikes with my friends. I got my life sorted out so far to the age 50 for me.

None of that applies to you really since you want to go into the field of mechanics. Study the past trends to find out what jobs are needed right now. Teachers, Computer technicians, nurses. Are what your guaranteed to have a good paying job in. And those are almost guaranteed as soon as you graduate college.

googled "jobs needed in america"
Occupations with the Most Openings - Occupation Information - America's Career InfoNet
found this within seconds.
Teachers are needed as the past generations kids are old enough to start schooling. There is always a constant flow of kids. So there is a pretty decent rate of teachers needed. And granted that it is not a Very very drastically needed. I just picked it to get my point across.
