Naw, depression happens to smart and/or creative people.
You end up judging yourself harshly for now reason. I do it all the time. Plus American society puts a lot of pressure on youth to look, act, be a certain way. It's actually pretty terrible.

I might be trying to hard to reach perfection.
I want the perfect job, the perfect body, the perfect girlfriend, the perfect family but none of it is going to happen because perfection in itself does not exist. So it's like I am chasing ghosts., again. I should have gotten over Kaitlyn when we stopped talking but because I am so stubborn I thought and thought and thought of ways to preserve what we had and get it back. That being said, I am too shy to open myself up to another woman because I am afraid she will do the same thing to me and that is rip my heart from my soul. I just want a girl whuld understand me yet I cannot settle for anything below a certain level of looks.
