K, so, Back in the days of wireless vulnerabilities, I completely abandoned the concept of wireless seeing as it was just too much trouble.
Now though, Things have changed, And I will be trading someone from LG some stuff for a kindle fire~ Now the question is. What the fuck is 8.02B and all this other shit?
and here is the router I am eyeing. (We use one at work, And I see it has preeeeety nice range)Originally Posted by Kindle Fire Supports

So. I would like to upgrade to this and abandon my ancient technology.
Any of you have a suggestion for me or know if this will work?
they both say Wifi...But does that mean I have to get the specific bandwidth or anything complicated?

Hm, idk. I have a linksys wrt54g. It works, it seems to be compatible with new wifi devices. I just plugged everything in, set up my encryption, and made sure the IP stuff was right and had wifi.
I put a custom firmware on it too just to make it all bitchin and such.
So that's what I suggest.

Get an 802.11n router. That's the newest band of wireless. The kindle will support it. The closer to A the slower and shorter the signal. Also, get one with Gigabit Ethernet. And lastly, when you get it protect it with a wpa2 key. Aes and psk. That should answer all your questions. If not ask.
Sorry for any typos. On my phone.
