Well I threw the idea around in another thread after the realization of just how many people on this site cook. I figured, what the hell? Why not make it, I have all the free time in the world to compile a cookbook. My goal is to have at least 50 entries. I will also write up a "lazy cook's tips and tricks page". And have random blurbs floating around on pages with random gaming facts. Any other ideas for this, please post. <3
12/50 Recipes
Hey, look! Guidelines! ↓ moteYay:
- All submissions must be original/have your own tweak
- Any form of measurement is acceptable. I will just convert them and standardize all recipes.
- Please, and for god sakes PLEASE, write instructions clearly. I will be testing these and figuring out if they work properly.
- If you have an idea for a dish, post it. I'll work with things to try and make it.
- Remember, this cook book is for gamers. We need junk-food like dishes. Easy dishes. Things ANYONE can prepare.
This cookbook may be broken down into categories:
- Drinks (nonalcoholic & alcoholic)
- Snacks (appetizers & whatnot)
- Meals (hearty dishes that fill you up)
- Desserts

Most of the things I am going to add in need to be tweaked some more. Still working on my buffalo sauce's recipe. Trying to get more tang and less heat. Also going to throw in restaurant style fries, because let's face it; people don't know how to properly cook/season homemade fries D< (I.E: my mother)

When I say converted, I mean to US home cook's standards. Cups, Tablespoons, teaspoons, etc. I'll take it in any form though, since I know we have people overseas and what not who may want to submit recipes but don't know how to convert them properly. The cook book will be US standard measurements.
For those of you who use metric measuremeants (I'm guessing a few of you should) I'll make a conversion table.
NOTE: If you guys have recipes in metric, PLEASE don't try to convert them over to US standards. It may throw the recipe off if not done correctly~

- 05 Jan. 2012 01:42am #17The bachelor's ultimate lazy-ass really frekin' good pizza. (Easy) 1/5
This is the first of five meals I cook often. They will range from easy to difficult.
What you'll need
Chef Boyardee pizza kit
A pack of your favorite cheese (shredded)
- Start off by mixing the dough using the instructions on the Chef Boyardee box.
- After the dough has sat for 5min put dough on one pan. We're making one pizza, not two. This is very important to remember.
- After spreading the dough pour cheese around the edge of crust. Once that's finished fold the dough over the cheese, stretch the dough as needed.
- Open pizza sauce and pour it in the center of the pizza.
- Pour the left over cheese on the pizza, then pour the included cheese packet over pizza.
- Let it bake for 15min at 350f.
- Enjoy

Thomas' post makes me think.
These should be things that a busy college kid could make on a budget.
Putting together random shit to make something delicious, for little money.

There so much wrong with that pizza recipe...
First: pizza kit? Hell no
Nonononononononono
No
No
Second: not any kind of cheese, since not all the cheeses melt the same way. I'd recommend mozzarella and parmesan for the dough

That was my simple anybody could cook this no thinking involved recipe. The good stuff is coming next.

Supplies:
- Ramen Noodles
- 1 can Spam (or other meat product, I've done hot dogs before)
- Garlic powder
- Beef Bouillon Cubes
Preparation:
1. Prepare spam as directed. I reccomend avoiding the microwave directions, as it ends up being chewy, and odd looking. The crunchy texture from frying works much better. (be careful not to burn yourself, grease burns suck.)
2. Place prepared spam onto a plate, stick in microwave to keep warm.
3. Pour two cups water into a medium sized pot, add one beef bouillon cube, and a few dashes of garlic powder (eyeball it, it's really not a big deal.) Add any other seasonings you wish at this point, it will majorly affect the taste of the noodles.
4. While waiting for water to boil, crush up noodles in the package. Once water is boiling, add the noodles.
5. After 4 minutes of the noodles boiling, drain the water, place noodles into a bowl.
6. Dice spam into small pieces, add to ramen, and stir.
7. Add ramen flavor packet, stir.
8. Eat.
Optional: Add fajita seasoning to give it some spiciness.
Disco is neat.

There is nothing wrong with that pizza kit. It just contains bread flour, salt and instant yeast, with a few dried herbs in it. You just add the needed water It's the perfect proportioned mix for dough; which believe it or not is one the hardest things to ever get right. The cheese in it is parm, and the sauce is just a basic marinara with herbs-- which i would suggest substituting them for something better. You could also throw in some onion, olives, bellpeppers, and mushrooms.
@Kain; that just sounds so wrong. >_> Reminds me of a mystery basket challenge i had at school. Spam was in the basket with evaporated milk and avocado. I made avocado pasta, ground up the spam with mushroom and a little worchestershire's then did ravioli with the pasta, and made a cheesy cream sauce out of the evaporated milk.
Needless to say I won the challenge for creativity. The other guy did a sammich :'DLast edited by La Vie Cruelle; 05 Jan. 2012 at 02:08am.

Salmon(or not) wrap
Ingredients:
Chives, watercress, carrot, cream cheese, salmon(smoked works best, but grilled is pretty good too), tortilla and some soy sauce.
Just put everything together and wrap it in a tortilla, salmon can get quite expensive and it can be replaced with some cheaper fish, or cucumber for a vegetarian version but it's just not the same

Eh, Enough of this sissyfitting, Allow me to introduce you to.
Ramen le`badass
+++++++++++++
Needs:
1 egg
1 frying pan
1 small saucepan
1 butter with extra butter
1 Maruchan brand ramen noodles
1 bowl or eating device of eating
=============
1.) Start off by filling the small saucepan with hot water, Then open your package of ramen and put the brick of noodles in alone. No flavor pack.
2.) Put your frying pan on the stove, turn on the fire, and rub the stick of butter against its warming surface to spread an even coat of melted butter across the pan, If the butter begins to bubble excessively, turn down the fire to prevent from burning it.
3.) With your pan now buttered, Crack open the egg and JAB JAB JAB it with a spatula until its all runny and whatnot.
4.) By now, Your ramen noodle brick should be getting pretty flimsy. Poke it with a fork and fuck around with it until it begins to seperate abit from itself, Remember not to cook it too much or it will taste like shit. Now, With it nice and broken up, Use a fork to remove the noodles and put them into a bowl with no water.
5.) Now, Sprinkle the flavor packets delicious powdery innards all over the noodles, Just leave a very small amount in the packet for later, Making the noodles this way prevents the liquid from watering down the taste, Mix it up good so you dont get any dry untasty parts.
6.) Have a look back at your eggs, Its time to turn the fire back up, Now with the fire on high, Begin to jab it occasionally with the spatula like before, making it so that as it cooks, it turns into basically, ground up eggs or a cooked egg thick powder (Like bacon bits, bit eggs!) And keep doing this until every last eggy bit is fully cooked and has a nice brownish cast to it (CRUNCHY MUNCHY!)
7.) Take your now fully cooked spatula diced eggs and pour them all into your bowl of ramen right on top, then sprinkle the last of your flavor pack on top of them and stir it up nice and good. Assuming you did all of this quickly, The eggs should take Juuuust a little longer to cook than the ramen noodles, making everything turn out awesome.
From here, Put a fork in the bowl and eat up, Tastes like some shit you would get at a Chinese buffet and is pretty damn filling and has more protein in it. (stuff that makes you healthy and makes more sperm / vaginal fluids build up and grow in your body! AKA desirable sex partner)
-----------------
Thats just a simplistic one for some of you to try...I wont go into baking yet since some of the folks here are probably n00bs in the pat-the-baker (billy and mandy rofl)Gaiaonline Exploit Log:

I'm trying to avoid baking. It is too precise and n00bs fuck it up with the "MOAR IS BETTUR!"
That and most dough/batters have to be done in a certain way to the T.
Edit: also, you cook your ramen the same way as I do. AWESOMELast edited by La Vie Cruelle; 05 Jan. 2012 at 03:20am.
