I believe you have to wait until the brownies have begun to cook, and sprinkle it in while its squishy, but cooking. My brother makes the best. but idk how he makes them exactly.

^^This. Works for oil too, which most brownies use.
Use about 1 oz of decent stuff, or 1/2 oz of amazing stuff. Grind up really well Simmer on a low flame, and the longer it stays on the flame the more it extracts and infuses in the oil. (30 minutes should be enough).
Edit: your oil amount = however much the box says to use. Lawl. I've also seen a friend strain the oil through a fine mesh sieve to get rid of whole stems she left in there. She claims they hold more of the goodies in it.
