I just downloaded after effects because I heard it was a very nice piece of video editing software. Apparently not for what I want it to do.

Ive been trying to figure out the most simplest thing for 20 minutes that windows movie maker has no problem doing. Splitting and deleting a portion of the video.

Seriously, what the fuck, a $500 piece of video editing software cant split a fucking mpeg/avchd video file in two different parts. This is so ridiculous, window movie maker can do it lickity split, but this fucker doesn't want to do it.

Any of you guys know how to do this shit? Its easy with avi's and crap but not my freaky video format (damn HD )
