While she's talking, nod, agree, and laugh a little bit when you indicate she's saying something funny.
If she makes a point, agree with it, unless you're actually paying attention and you don't agree.
Then tell her why you disagree, and bam. good conversation.
Just don't make it too obvioius you're not paying attention. Even ask her to go back every now and then on something she said and show some interest in it.☜(* x *)☞FOOL ON COOL GENERATION

What makes you think you have to?
And if she's like that, why would you want that kind of relationship?
It'll always be boring, no contact, never doing anything, etc.
I bet even during Sex she'll be looser than a turtleneck and twice as grubby because she'd just lay there and take it whenever/wherever and yawn at you here and there☜(* x *)☞FOOL ON COOL GENERATION

Ask her what she wants to do or talk about

Say jokes from time to time. If she laughs then go for a question that would require a long answer. lol

What is she like? Interests? Hobbies? Friends?
Humans yawn when they think of it.

Does she expand her answer? Like if you ask her where she lives she wouldn't just tell you her address she also tell you when did they start living there or maybe explain the story behind why they moved there something like that.

Well at least she always wants to know where you are. That's a good start. Ask her why she wants you to text her when you get home.

Talk to her about Lady Gaga, and if she hates her, get rid of his crusty ass and spit in her face.

Honestly, it's about finding a personal connection. If you say she's a one-word-answer type of person and that bores you, you may be trying too hard to make something out of nothing. Next time you talk to her (preferably in person), engage her; ask her questions that can't be answered with "yes" or "no". Try to find common ground with her in different categories (music, movies, video games, hobbies, sports, fashion, beliefs, etc.). If her responses are limited to only a few things outside "yes" and no" and she becomes reluctant in sharing information about herself, chances are she's not going to fulfill you in the ways you're looking for.
