Playing songs by AC/DC to a Great White Shark can calm the normally aggressive animal, according to a South Australian charter boat operator.
Matt Waller said he made the discovery after speaking to a man who had been diving in Guadeloupe, who claimed playing certain music to sharks helped change their behaviour.
"I started going through my albums and AC/DC was something that really hit the mark", Waller told ABC.
"Their behaviour was more investigative, more inquisitive and a lot less aggressive - they actually came past in a couple of occasions when we had the speaker in the water and rubbed their face along the speaker which was really bizarre."
Waller said AC/DC's "You Shook Me All Night Long" was particularly effective in changing a shark's behaviour.
Sharks don't have ears and instead react to different frequencies and vibrations in the water.

Guns N' Roses axeman DJ Ashba has recounted how he and frontman Axl Rose "literally kicked the sh-t out of" a drunk fan who'd gatecrashed a private party.
The guitarist insists it was "all good" and that the fan in question took the attack in good spirits, later admitting he'd deserved it.
Ashba tells Guitar International: "Me and Axl kicked the living sh-t out of this dude."
"He snuck into this private aftershow party that was just held for the band and the crew. He was a drunk obnoxious big dude – he walks in and he's telling everyone he's our tour manager. We're like, 'What the f--k?'".
"He actually punched one of our tour managers. I saw it, so I grabbed the guy by his throat and slammed him up against the wall and I said, "You need to leave now'".
"I walked him over to the door, but he turned round and punched me in the face. I just started unloading on him. Axl saw him hit me and flipped, and jumped in."
"We're stomping this guy to a pulp – but it was all in good fun."
"What's funny about it is, about three hours later we get done partying, and the guy's still sitting in the lobby. We walk up and he apologises for being a douchebag, then he asks if he can get pictures and autographs with us."
"So we're taking pictures with this bloody mess of a guy we literally kicked the sh-t out of."
"It was all good – we laughed about it in the end and he even laughed. He was like: 'Yeah, it was my fault, I was being a total d-ck'".
"It was just a funny moment."

So it wouldn't be those particular bands, but songs with those frequencies? Like how whales communicate on frequencies.
It's very interesting. I love behavioral studies. And could we possibly apply them to humans?I am steady killin' fools.

We kind of do. Restaurants and businesses play certain music to try to get people to do certain things. Target benefits from you staying there and buying more, McDonalds benefits from you leaving quickly. They pick music to play based on what is helpful to their business.
