New account security options | Forum | Gaia Online
Looks like more work. :\Good news: we’re adding some new account security measures to make it much tougher for ne’er-do-wells to bust into your account and rough up the joint.
First, changing the email address linked to your account will now send a message to the old address notifying it of the change. This will give you a heads-up in case someone is trying to hijack your account. This change has automatically gone into effect for all accounts.
Secondly, we’re providing an optional security measure for those of you who want to lock down your account even further. In your Account Settings panel, you’ll now see a checkbox for “IP Verification.” If you check this, we’ll send you an email with a) a link to turn the feature on, and b) an emergency link to turn it off. Neither link requires you to be logged into your account. Even if you’ve clicked the Account Settings checkbox, the feature will not be activated until you click the first link in your confirmation email.
Once you’ve turned on IP Verification, you’ll be sent a verification email whenever you try to log in from a new location. Until you click a link in the verification email, you won’t be able to log in from that new location. This means that some jerk across the country can’t get into your account without your say-so.
Warning: this feature is not ideal for everyone; if you change locations frequently, this feature may prove to be more annoying than helpful. However, if you generally log into Gaia from one place, it will make your account much, much more secure. We’ve made this option mandatory for staff accounts for quite some time, and it’s worked wonders for us.
With individual love to each and every one of you,
The Gaia Team

Gives more reason to keylog your victims. They are basically trying to make it almost impossible for us to scam anyone. They are going to just start breeding real hackers.

Oooh, that sounds like fun.
I am pretty much done with Gaia though. I go to one thread once a week and that's about it.
I used to have 10 threads to go to regularly. :\

Hacking like that is federal shit, and I will never do shit like that. I'm not stupid, but of course, I know several people who haven't been online for a long time... Hmmm...
Like I said, if Gaia starts too much shit, I'm out. I'm almost out anyways...
P.s. thanks for buying. Never talked to you about it.

Yeah, that is why I am kind of backing away from Runescape Phishing. Fed shit. I don't need it.
I am just hungry for maxing out my main. Trying to barely bot on it too.
