these rich white kids and their father basically made me feel terrible with my placement in society.
i was promoting this election and making like 110 dollars a day, and i had to cover this rich/racist neighborhood.
i was walking down the street, and these little girls who saw me walking just stopped what they were doing and just went in the house until i was gone. (they even peeked out the window to make sure i was gone.)
then these people who lived in this big ass mansion had drove past me in a golf cart saying "look at this poor ****** kid."
i wasn't even mad at the racism, i have honestly moved from that.
but these people had these gorgeous houses, and i had my shitty apartment.
it was like walking through your wishlist.
they were things you wanted, but you knew it wasn't going to be anytime soon.
i wish i was rich.

No you don't. The rich have no morals, they are weak, and without money are powerless.
Money becomes a crutch, makes you mad. People will sell their souls for the green, and never bat an eye.
Be proud that you have more work ethic and courage than those born with a silver spoon in their hand.I am steady killin' fools.

like, i don't mean that i wish i was like a modern day Ritchie Rich, but to just live alittle bit better than you do now, while still keeping all that makes you a respectable and morally appropriate citizen.
like, you keep all of your work ethics and what you have, but what you have is just better.I miss my old LG account.

yeah, i thought that too.
but thinking about how upscale the community was, and how they see one side of the black community because it's always in the news.
so i understand why they wouldn't be comfortable with people like me walking through the neighborhood.I miss my old LG account.

I can totally see where you're coming from. Especially in the respect that a lot of the well to do tend to look down on those who aren't in the "upper crust" of society.
However I wouldn't say all rich people are lazy or hateful, just those who were born holding a silver spoon tend to be.
I can honestly say that a lot of those who have exuberant amounts of money and have never had to live with being poor tend to be spendthrift.
Which may catch up to them one day. In any case I really hate people who look down on other from really trivial things like that.
@Soul: Not everyone can exactly get themselves in a position to make that kind of money. It does take a bit of luck and being able to sell yourself. Not everyone has that ability. Plus some places it's hard as fuck to find work right now depending on what state you're in. I can see it from both sides of the spectrum. Living extremely close to being on the streets makes me appreciate so much more now that Jeff and I have some money.

I love how you say white people when not every white person is rich. Im white and i live in a shitty apartment with 2 rooms and 6 people living here. Dont take what they say so serious because they were probably spoiled as kids and if they didnt have money they woild be shit.

I am a white, Very low middle-class kid living with 4 people in a house that should house 5 people, but is so full of shit we had to kick out my sister even though she lost her job.
When rich kids make fun of me, I laugh in their face, and then proceed to be more talented in them in every way humanly possible.
Might just be my area, but all rich people around here can't do shit.
Disco is neat.

I'm with Clovs here. Not everyone with money is a fucking douche who doesn't "actually working for a living". Yeah, some rich people are assholes, but I've known many assholes, and not all of them were rich.

But aren't you also in the military? Which opens us a whole new branch of opportunities.
Not everyone can get into the armed services especially because everyone is trying to get into them now they disqualify people for derpy reasons. (At least the airforce was.)
I will say it was hard to find a job when we lived in orange county CA because there was nothing out there for people with out a degree.
So you can't say it's not that hard because we did made finding a job our job out there. Applying and traveling around 8 hours a day almost every day. It took my boyfriend a few months just to find a job at walmart cleaning bathrooms.
Life is a continual process of working your way up. When we had enough money we high tailed it back to arizona where there are a lot more jobs.
(Mostly in the telemarketing) Now almost two years later my boyfriend is making 17$ per hour.
My other point being is some people don't have the experience needed to land a decent job that makes more than 8$ an hour.Last edited by CL0V3R; 24 May. 2011 at 05:00pm.
